Sharapova vs. Hingis, the First-Ever Match.

Returned from this season, Hingis played against Maria Sharapova at the Semi-Final, the world first-ever match. Hingis swamped the match, and advanced to the Final for the 5th time. However, playing 5 consecutive years, Elena Dementieva won against Hingis which was her first Toray PPO title; 11th new champion.
